About us

Our story began back in 2002 when we first opened our doors. Six years later, Anoushka & myself partnered together and with our international exposure and having lived and studied mostly overseas & now back home in Asia, we understood the needs of our customers. Together, we decided to expand and include popular International food dishes with a Shell Beans twist in our menu and it was then that we opened our second outlet on Ameenee Magu which became popular within the neighborhood that consisted of schools & government offices. Our second outlet place became a popular venue for early morning coffees & lunch time meetings with office colleagues & after school snacks with the children going for sports activities. However, after 3 years at this location we had to close as the building required renovations. Recognizing the potential in Hulhumale during its development phase, we seized the opportunity and established an outlet there.

The covid pandemic, which was an extremely challenging time for all businesses prompted us to reevaluate our operations and we decided to streamline our business model and mainly focus on our flagship location at Jazeera building.

Today, we reflect on this journey as our own. Despite facing difficult times, we have learned valuable lessons from our past experiences. These lessons have greatly influenced our decision-making process, enabling us to make better choices as we move forward and continue to run one of the most loved cafés & restaurants in Malé.
